A mentor may help with exploring careers, setting goals, developing contacts, and identifying resources.

We implement the three C's

  • Mentor as a Consultant: This is the most obvious role for a mentor to play. ...

  • Mentor as a Counselor: Applying active listening skills and offering guidance

(We are not licensed counselors. Therefore, this information is for educational purposes ONLY).

  • Mentor as a Cheerleader: In addition to all of the constructive feedback and advice that a mentor can give, we also provide support with excitement and enthusiasm.

The knowledge, advice, and resources a mentor shares depend on the format and goals of a specific mentoring relationship. A mentor may share with a protege information about his or her own career path, as well as provide guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modeling for relationships, trauma, and career exploration as well as educational exploration. A mentor may help with setting goals, developing contacts, and identifying resources to further expound on the knowledge provided.

Our mission is to empower female youth excellence through the potentiality of healthy relationship building, positive communication, and social awareness.

Our vision it to improve academic achievement, social awareness, self-confidence, at-risk and high-risk behavior through the facilitation of mentoring relationships, employing practical life and leadership skills, and support mentees through personal hardships.

Ruth's Girls Mentor Network presents with an Ideology of Change that our network of professional mentors are culturally responsible to build and increase self-efficacy while embracing change, new opportunities for success that will lead to apprenticeships, internships, and victorious post-secondary pathways.

We cannot do this without your support. Your participation and partnership with Ruth's Girls will lead to opportunities that will strengthen social, educational, and personal developmental outcomes for the future of our girls. In conjunction, with your financial contribution, we are able to assure that youth girls, ages 14 through 25 years old, see their untapped potential, work to define their purpose, and use their ability to choose their future.

In conclusion, your financial contributions will assist with building educational partnerships within the southeast coastal region of Georgia as well as with post-secondary institutions. In this, our work with this population will decrease the possibilities of social injustices, increase the chances for fair opportunities to move into a career of their choice, and the ability to pursue entrepreneurship.

We thank you for your tax-deductible donation and any additional financial contribution that you wish to make. Corporations and organizations that provide financial resources are working to enable Ruth's Girls to embark upon their ability to be tomorrow's leaders.

Due to the pandemic, our services are only offered virtually. However, we are looking forward to in-person meetings with our mentees. Thank you for understanding.
